Ethical Holiday Gift Guide and More...
Wednesday, December 5, 2012
Do you have a person in your life who is passionate about doing good? Shopping for someone with a bleeding heart and discerning ethical standards can be a challenge, but I've got all the answers for you. My friend Candace asked me to write a blog post on the Top Ten Christmas Gifts for the Philanthropist. This image is a little hint about what you'll find, but go check out the full post on her blog for the details...

We are doing an activity Advent calendar so the focus is on making memories instead of on getting unhealthy treats (although some of our activities are baking cookies-but we are saving most of the cookies to take to family holiday celebrations later in the month). So my preschooler and I are doing lots of crafts and some multicultural activities (like tomorrow on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe) and charitable activities. It's been fun for him and is really keeping me accountable. I have a lot of lazy instincts naturally and I know I wouldn't be doing all these fun things with him if I didn't basically promise him I would (in the form of his "secret message" each day that says what activity we are doing!) Nothing we are doing is very expensive or time-consuming though; I tried to not go overboard with complicated stuff. Just fun things I'd want to do anyway!
You've made some good points there. I looked on the web to find out more about the issue and found most people will go along with your views on this website.
